The Local and Regional Monitoring Institute did a short research on the collection way of the local business tax; how will it influence the finances of local-governments, and the reaction of the local authorities.

The result of our monitoring shows, that the business tax is very important for the local-governments. Not only because of the rate, but it is also a factor of the economic policy and the relationship towards the local companies.

Beyond the profitability the local authorities care about the satisfaction and the labor force absorbentness of the companies. Many local-governments has a regular contact with the companies, which is more active since they both want to cooperate with the aim, to damp the impacts of the economic slump.
